Philanthropy at Rose Hill School

All Year 6 pupils undertook events over a two-week period using their breaks and lunch times to plan and run them. Activities included cake sales, plant sales, parent swimming sessions, a parents’ netball tournament, chocolate tombola, dodgeball tournament, milkshakes for pupils and a lemonade stall.
Amanda Wren, Head of Geography said “We are incredibly proud of them for all their hard work and commitment to the projects. The whole school participated in Ukraine Day and individual pupils contributed by selling homemade cards, cookies and erasers. We are delighted to announce that their efforts raised a total of £2000.29 which has been sent to RefugEase”.

Founder’s Day at Rose Hill School

Rose Hill celebrated its first ever Founder’s Day on Saturday 21 May, a new event launched in the lead up to the School’s 200th birthday in 2032. The now annual Founder’s Day is a community celebration for past, present and future pupils.

World Book Day

It’s been a busy week full of book related fun. To kick off Book Week The Library hosted a Book Hunt for the Prep School on Monday which saw the children hunting high and low for a selection of titles. On Tuesday it was Pre Prep’s turn as they took to the Astro to hunt for favourite book characters—I’m glad to say the glum weather did not dampen their high spirits! Prep School have been designing bookmarks during their library sessions with some fantastic designs created by our artistic pupils.

A day of Enterprise, Enquiry, Adventure & Philanthropy

As always, our Focus Day this term was a great opportunity for pupils to develop lifelong learning skills in Enterprise, Enquiry, Adventure and Philanthropy.

Year 5 Wonder Day

On Thursday Year 5 took part in our Wonder Day. The day was dedicated to showing our children the exciting opportunities available in Years 7 and 8 at Rose Hill. The activities were all based around our five school keys to success – organisation, confidence, resilience, persistence and getting along.

Rose Hill School rated excellent in all areas.

Local Prep School Rose Hill School has received a glowing report across all areas from the Independent Schools Inspectorate. Inspectors judged Rose Hill School to be ‘excellent’ and stated that in “all groups pupils make rapid progress from their various starting points.”
