Head's Lines

Congratulations to O Bateman who organised a Cake Sale just before half term and raised £123.00 for the RNLI. E Herbert and I James both received their 1000m Swimming Certificates in Assembly this week.
Inspection
A team of four will be visiting the School next week to undertake a full inspection of all areas of the school. May I remind parents to complete the on-line questionnaire, the details of which were sent out on Tuesday. All children in Years 4—8 have completed a questionnaire at school. I am obviously available to parents as normal, but request that anything which is non-urgent is left until the
following week! The Inspection Report will be sent to parents approximately 4 weeks after the inspection.
Magazine
I hope that families have enjoyed the new School Magazine which arrived this week. Mrs Clark has done a wonderful job producing it and I am also grateful to all the contributors.
Staff News
Congratulations to Mrs Morgan who is expecting twins in the Spring.

Year 6 Geography trip to the River Cuckmere and Seven Sisters Country Park.

12 March 2020

Whilst the heavy rain did make the trip via Alfriston village a little tricky it also served to highlight the spectacular meanders and creeks of the River Cuckmere’s floodplain in the Spring sunshine and allow the ‘New Cut’ to be in full spate and speed along to the sea at low tide. As it did so the fast-flowing water actively undercut and eroded the shingle beach causing mini land or ‘shingle’ slides before our very eyes.
